About the Choir
The Arch Street Presbyterian Church Choir, under the direction of J. Donald Dumpson, is made up of an eclectic group of singers who come together on a regular basis to sing praises to God. We offer ministry opportunities, fellowship, and creative renewal. The Choir is open to all men and women; church membership is not required.
The Arch Street Choir sings during Sunday morning services twice a month, with a one-hour rehearsal prior to the service. Weekly choir rehearsal takes place from 7:00-8:30 PM on Thursdays. Each member of the Choir is asked to not miss more than three services or rehearsals during the course of the music ministry year. We ask for this level of commitment to ensure that our music ministry are of the highest quality possible.
Goals
* To build a musical community at Arch Street for parishioners, staff, and neighborhood residents and workers
* To lead congregational singing, not only when singing as a choir, but also when singing as part of the congregation
* To offer an opportunity for a quality, part-time commitment for those seeking to be part of the musical community at Arch Street
