Ministry for Families

motherchild2Whether you are a stay-at-home dad wondering if anyone else is out there, a grandparent struggling to keep up with new ways of misbehaving, or a caregiver hoping “this is just a stage,” let us be family with you.  Raising children is wonderful, hard, fun, beautiful, gritty — all of those things.  Let’s do it together as we seek to find meaning and life in this world.

If you are interested in finding out more, or having coffee, please contact Rev. Becky White Newgren, becky@archstreetpres.org or 215-563-3763.  You can also visit us on Sunday morning for worship at 10:45 (childcare is provided and your children are welcome in worship).

Blessings,
Rev. Becky White Newgren, Minister for Community Life

Wondering who you might meet in the

children’s room?

Meet Josie!

Joséphine “Josie”  Kabambi grew up in South Dakota and graduated from Wellesley College in 2011 with a B.A. in Biological Chemistry and Peace and Justice Studies. Growing up, Josie had the opportunity to attend churches of various sizes and denominations which exposed her to creative and engaging ways to do children’s ministry. Josie is an ordained elder in our denomination and is currently working for Woman Organized Against Rape.  Josie is excited to join Arch Street Presbyterian Church as the Director of Children’s Ministry where her primary focus will be to create a a space where all children and families feel welcome and safe to explore their faith. In her spare time Josie enjoys eating and knitting for peace.
