Arch Street Presbyterian Church hosts the Foyer of Philadelphia
The Foyer of Philadelphia is changing focus from temporary to more permanent housing for LGBTQ young adults.
Winter 2013: After it’s successful inaugural year, the Foyer of Philadelphia is continued in 2013 to again provide overnight resource programming for LGBTQ young adults (ages 18-24). Having aged out of foster care and often shunned by their families and religious communities, these young adults are particularly vulnerable when life takes an unknown turn and housing becomes unstable. Running from December 17th through the end of March, the Foyer of Philadelphia welcomed young folks into our building and provide social services and loving support. One of Arch Street Presbyterian core values is welcoming LGBTQ youth, young adults, and adults. At this time, however, the foyer is not running.
