Faith in Action
Arch Street Presbyterian Church longs to be a blessing to its neighborhood. That our commitments to Christ will translate–however imperfectly–into extending joy, abundance, flourishing and healing within and beyond our doors. We want our faith to matter not only to us–but to those whose lives our congregation touches–we aim to make a difference in this wonderful city of possibilities and contradictions and we welcome anyone who open to allowing God to see how they can give their lives away.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for brunch and our annual congregational meeting on April 21. At this meeting, the congregation of Arch Street Presbyterian Church voted to receive the 2013 budget and to elect members Lawyer Chapman, Ryan Fillmore, and Paul Shifflet to the office of Elder. In addition, members Nick Birringer, Amy Chen, and Daria DiCicco talked about their experience of this community and their particular ministries at ASPC, and Paul Shifflet reported on the work of the Mission Study Task Force. Minister of Music and the Arts, J. Donald Dumpson, closed the meeting by leading the congregation in his original song: I Have a Spiritual Description. The room was filled with excitement about the ministry of ASPC, and the future God has in store for us as a congregation. A special word of thanks goes to the ASPC Deacons for hosting the brunch! If you have not had the opportunity to review the 2013 Annual Report, we invite you to access it online, or to pick up a copy from the back of the sanctuary.
